About me

My name is Natalie Dunn, and I’m from Auckland, New Zealand. I’m 28 years old, born and raised in the city, and I still live in Mount Eden, Auckland. I am an only child. I’m of mixed heritage — Chinese on my mother’s side, and European on my father’s, with English, Scottish, Irish, and German roots, among others.
During my younger days, I attended Freemans Bay Primary School followed by Balmoral Intermediate School. I’ve attended both Mount Albert and Auckland Girls Grammar School, in my days at high school. I have also studied at AUT, Unitec, and AMES. Growing up, I lived with my parents in Mt Eden, and unfortunately, I lost my dad to cancer during the first nationwide lockdown in New Zealand during the COVID pandemic.
I’ve learned a great deal from the lockdowns, and I’ve embraced living life to its fullest, while actively working towards my goals. Currently, my aspirations include achieving fluency in French, pursuing studies in fashion design, and eventually relocating to Paris to further my education in fashion and eventually become a fashion designer.
I’m currently self employed, selling my photography and digital artworks as merchandise, at the local markets, where I live. I also do content creation, blogging, and graphic design for my own content and blogs. Currently, I am learning French and plan to study fashion design later on. I aspire to become a fashion designer, in addition to pursuing careers as a model, artist, and a graphic designer. I’m taking gradual steps to accomplish these objectives. Additionally, I also enjoy spending time with my close friends, exploring new places, and indulging in cultural experiences. I find inspiration in nature, and I often incorporate elements of it into my creative work.
I’m an enthusiast when it comes to exploring different kinds of food and beverages, and those who know me will tell you I enjoy a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate in the morning. I do reviews of food and beverages, and am actively posting my reviews on social media. I also run a food blog on my website, and you can find my social media platforms and the dedicated website for this, in the link here. I travel from time to time, and enjoy going on adventures, as well. However, there’s more to life than drinking cocktails or going away on exquisite vacations – though it is indeed enjoyable as it allows you to explore new places and try out new experiences, including food and drinks.
When I do have time to go on adventures, I travel . Almost every year, except for 2020 when my dad passed away, I travel either to Mt Ruapehu, south of Taupo, or various ski fields in Queenstown for skiing. I’ve also been overseas, including to Australia to engage in adrenaline activities, including skydiving in the Gold Coast, jet boating in Surfers Paradise, and going on the slingshot ride. I have been traveling both in New Zealand and overseas almost every year throughout my life, except for overseas travel in 2020 and 2021 due to travel restrictions and lockdowns that was the result of pandemic-related travel restrictions.
I’m also into political activism, and feminism, and equality which I have my own views on. I follow both global and local issues. I have, unfortunately, had experienced online bullying and have raised awareness about it. My personal beliefs are that it is important to treat everyone with respect, and that there’s no room for hate.
Anyway, you can find my blogs on everything I am passionate about, from cocktails to traveling to feminism. I hope you take the time to read them and learn something valuable.
